Yuna has become a celebrity for her role as saviour of Spira and deliverer from Sin. However, restless on Besaid, she sets out as a sphere hunter, a member of the Gullwings, whose members include her long-time companion and cousin Rikku, a mysterious woman named Paine, Al Bhed whiz kid Shinra, Brother, and his friend Buddy.

In terms of personality, Yuna is a changed person. While still very kind hearted and serious about her duties, she is more open and direct, and wears a very different outfit for a change of pace (possibly also due to Rikku's influence). However, her friends still occasionally tease her about her habit of being a pushover.

Her purpose for travelling with the Gullwings, however, goes beyond a simple desire for adventure. Yuna searches for clues regarding Tidus, the cause of his disappearance and his current whereabouts.

In the two years since she helped Yuna defeat Sin, Rikku has travelled with other Al Bhed around Spira, teaching people all there is to know about machina. During the so-called "search for truth" that overtook Spira after Sin's defeat, a group of Al Bhed joined the ranks of sphere hunters. With their airship, the Celsius as a base, Rikku and her Brother founded the Gullwings. Rikku invited Yuna to join the Gullwings, and they have been traveling together ever since. As always, Rikku's endless supply of energy keeps the team on their toes.
